
Beth Shank, MSW, LCSW
Beth is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master of Social Work from North Carolina State University. With a compassionate approach and social justice lens, she strives to create a space where clients feel understood and accepted. She holds space for clients where they can show up as their authentic self, free from judgment. Beth sees the connection between therapist and client as the heart of the work. She focuses on building a relationship based on trust and respect, so people feel supported and empowered throughout their journey.
Beth is a Dialectical Behavior Skills Certified Therapist with a focus on helping clients learn mindfulness, emotional regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, and distress tolerance skills. Beth also utilizes an Internal Family Systems approach. In her clinical practice, Beth emphasizes growth, building resilience, and self-awareness.
She brings extensive experience working with adolescents, young adults, and adults in diverse clinical environments, including the NCSU Women’s Center, Carolina House Eating Disorder Treatment Center, Sanare Today’s Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Programs, and private practice. Beth’s areas of interest include, LGBTQ+, spirituality, PTSD, self-esteem, life transitions, depression, and anxiety.
