Dr. Alexis Hugelmeyer, known to her patients as Dr. Lex, is a physician board certified in Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. She earned her Doctor of Osteopathy from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2005 and completed her residency training at Long Beach Medical Center in 2008. Dr. Hugelmeyer has twelve years of clinical experience in hospital medicine, telemedicine and lifestyle medicine. Dr. Hugelmeyer’s innovative approach to healthcare involves working with her patients to create an individualized mind-body wellness plan. Each plan addresses nutrition, exercise, sleep quality, stress & psychological well-being, self-care, social relationships, sexual health, and spiritual health. Dr. Hugelmeyer focuses on education and Therapeutic Lifestyle Changes to treat and prevent medical and musculoskeletal conditions.
Osteopathic Manipulation (OMT) is used to help correct structural dysfunction that may be interfering with the body’s intrinsic healing ability. Osteopathy is a healthcare philosophy that posits that the body is a unit with the intrinsic ability to heal itself. Dr. Hugelmeyer’s goal is to help you prevent disease or live more healthily with a chronic condition. As a physician, she is here to offer all treatment options and help her patients make the choices that are best for them.
SERVICES
Universal Initial Consult (60-75 minutes) $325
All new patients will experience this comprehensive assessment, which includes the review of a detailed history and thorough medical and structural exam. At the conclusion of the visit, we will discuss a comprehensive treatment plan and determine if one of the programs is right for you. At least one follow-up appointment will be recommended for reassessment. OMT may or may not be utilized during this initial visit.
Follow-Up Visits (30-45 minutes) $175
These visits will be used for existing patients to reassess treatment progress or evaluate new problems.
OMT Membership
Dr. Hugelmeyer uses OMT, a set of hands-on treatment techniques that correct structural restrictions which may be interfering with the body’s healing capacity.
