She will meet you where you are and offer a safe, nonjudgmental space for you to share and explore challenges. Melissa provides a balance of empathetic listening, thoughtful reflection, and cooperative problem solving to help you reach your therapeutic goals. She will be honest and straightforward in her interactions with you and will help support you in navigating life’s challenges. Melissa uses an integrative therapeutic approach, employing empirically-supported interventions including Attachment-Based Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy to best meet the needs of her clients.
Melissa is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with years of dynamic clinical experience. She earned a Master of Social Work and a Bachelor of Science majoring in Psychology. Melissa has worked with individuals of all ages, including children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and older adults. She has worked in hospital, school, residential, and outpatient settings. Melissa’s varied clinical experience has informed her perspective and has shaped her as a therapist, teacher, and life witness. She is very passionate about her work and believes therapy has the power to have long-term positive impacts on the lives of individuals.
